Frequently Asked Questions...

Does renting a Rug Doctor accomplish the same thing as hiring a carpet cleaner?

Do they have better machines? Or do people only hire them because they're too lazy to clean their own carpets with a Rug Doctor?

Answer:

It depends on the carpet cleaner, their equipment, etc. If you're dealing with really deep dirt, you might consider a company like Stanley Steamer or something. I highly recommend someone who actually extracts dirt. My experience with ChemDry was dismal. They basically just "mop" the carpets with a spinning device. There's no suction involved. Also - no matter how clean a professional can get the carpet, the dirt begins to return immediately after they leave. I would say that if you need to clean your carpets frequently - consider purchasing a Hoover unit. Otherwise, a Rug Doctor is fine.
