Welcome to the website of the Mu Iota Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. On January 9, 1914 this great fraternity was founded on the principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service by three extraordinary men and since May 24, 1980 the Mu Iota Chapter has been continuing that legacy of excellence passed down by our visionary founders. The Brothers of the Mu Iota Chapter, over the course of its existence on the University at Albany (SUNY) campus, has been given the challenge to lead by being inspiring, dynamic, energetic and optimistic in remaining an agent of change in the university’s future. By incorporating these characteristics, our goal is to run and lead this yard under the principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service, set forth by our founders and to be a positive and active force in the community.
