The Hoover WindTunnel Bagless Vacuum is an upright self-propelled vacuum cleaner that also includes a pet hair tool. This vacuum features a dirt finder system that indicates if the area is properly cleaned. The are two lights,one red and one green that let you know if you need to vacuum a specific area more. The green light remains on while vacuuming and the red light will illuminate alerting you that you need more cleaning in that section.
The powered brushroll has a shut-off switch that makes for an easy transition from carpet to bare floor. The pet hair tool also has a powered brush to help remove pet hair and dirt from furniture and stairs. The Hoover Windtunnel Bagless vacuum has a built in HEPA filter that traps 99% of dust and pollen.

After in depth research we found a lot of positive reviews for the Hoover WindTunnel Bagless Vacuum. 85% of people who own this machine rated it 4 or 5 out of 5 stars.
Owners commented on how much suction power this vacuum has, on a bare floor crumbs and peas with move towards the vacuum from over a foot away. The incredible suction is due to the powerful 12 amp motor. Even though the red and green dirt finder system sounds like a gimmick all the owners said it actually is very useful and works exactly as described. When using the Hoover Windtunnel Bagless vacuum for the first time one owner thought something was wrong with the dirt finder feature as the light was continuously red. After emptying the collection container several times followed by more vacuuming the red light finally went out and the green light remained on indicating the carpet was finally clean. There was just so much dirt in the carpet that was left behind by the previous vacuum. Some of the dirt included old carpet cleaning powder that was finally sucked up by the Hover WindTunnel Bagless Vacuum.
Here are a few comments from reviewers,"This is one of the finest vacuum cleaners I have ever used" and "I have owned Dyson, Kenmore, and other vacuums, none have lifted dirt and dog hair like this vacuum does at a fraction of the price that I had paid for the Dyson." Another owner stated they bought a Dyson to replace this vacuum cleaner and regretted the decision as the Dyson wasn't as good as the Hoover WindTunnel Bagless and the Dyson was way more expensive.
We did find a few negative comments about the Hoover Windtunnel Bagless Vacuum with the main complaint being how heavy it is. Because this vacuum is self propelled this really isn't a problem unless you need to carry it down stairs or try to vacuum stairs with it. To clean stairs it's best to use the hose attachment but owners commented it is to short to reach all the stairs without having to lift the heavy vacuum. Emptying the collection container also generated some complaints because it can be difficult and messy. The filter can also clog quickly if the carpet is really dirty but cleaning it is made easier by rotating the dust cap which causes the dust to be scrapped of the filter against a protruding tab. One final complaint is the quality of the plastics parts including the switches and handle. Several owners stated the parts feel cheap and give the impression they will eventually break but we didn't find any instances of this actually happening.
After a thorough investigation into the Hoover WindTunnel Bagless vacuum we found rave reviews and only few complaints. If you are looking for a powerful vacuum, don't mind carrying the extra weight up and down stairs and don't want to spend $800 we think the Hoover WindTunnel Bagless Vacuum represents killer value and highly recommend this product.
