The Hoover UH30010com Platinum Upright Vacuum is a light weight bagged vacuum cleaner weighing under 12 lbs and featuring a power 12 amp motor. It claims to remove more dirt in a single pass than any other light weight upright bagged vacuum cleaner.
The Hoover UH30010com Platinum Vacuum uses Hoover's direct air flow and patented WindTunnel Technology for increased cleaning power, has illuminated controls for on/off and hi/lo speed selection and uses a quick release self sealing bag to help reduce escaping dust when changing bags. There is also a bag full indicator light so you know when to change it. Some other features include a headlamp to help see into dark corners, automatic height adjustment, a 14-inch-wide nozzle, 35 foot cord and edge-cleaning brushes. Hoover UH30010COM Platinum Vacuum Reviews We found a large number of mostly positive reviews for the Hoover UH30010COM Platinum Vacuum cleaner which shows how popular it is. Over 87 percent of reviewers rated it 4 or 5 out of 5 stars. This vacuums strengths are its light weight and easy maneuverability, "moves like a dream". It is reported as being a very effective carpet cleaner and does an excellent job at removing pet hair. One owner tested it by going over the carpet with a piece of tape after vacuuming and didn't find anymore dirt or hair. The vacuum has an exceptionally long cord so you don't have to keep moving to a different outlet and it has edge bristles that clean pet hair out of baseboard corners. The HEPA bag works great keeping the exhaust air smelling clean. It also has a lifetime LED headlamp and a lifetime belt so you never have to worry replacing them. Here are a few comments from people who own the vacuum,"exceeds expectations 10-fold. I would truly give this vacuum 100 stars if I could" and "The most wonderful vacuum I have ever used. DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY!"
It was not all good news with the Hoover uh30010com Platinum Lightweight Upright Vacuum. Most off the complaints focused around the bonus canister vacuum. People said it is very loud, the bag fills quickly and it can be awkward to carry around. The upright vacuum doesn't have any on board tools and it's not very good for hard flooring surfaces because there is no on/off switch for the brush roller so you have to use the canister vacuum. A couple of people had some issues with the upright vacuum turning on and off by itself and it turned out to need a replacement electrical board which can be difficult to get. The upright vacuum can be difficult to move of long pile carpet as you can't adjust the brush height making it more suitable for short carpet.
If you are looking for a light weight, easily maneuverable vacuum cleaner for wall to wall short pile carpet this would be a good choice. On the other hand if you have lots of hard surface floors or need to use attachment tools frequently for furniture or drapes the Hoover uh30010com Platinum Vacuum may not be the best choice as you will be using the canister vacuum most of the time.

Frequently Asked Questions...
What vacuum cleaner would you recomend?
I'm replacing a very old Hoover upright vacuum cleaner. I'm considering replacing it with a Dyson (or similar). Do you have experience of cleaning power, usability, and durability that you could pass on?
Thanks.
Answer:
I own a Miele Callisto S5280 Vacuum Cleaner. It is the best vacuum I have ever owned. The filtration is incredbile it is 99.995% effective at .3 microns (really small) and is approved for people with allergies and asthma. It uses a HEPA filter with charcoal on the bottom to take out the odors and the bags are called intensive clean bags and are cloth like! As for fexibility, the powerhead (which works great on my carpets!) has a double swivel neck to get under and around everything. The floorbrush is incredible as well. It twists and turns to get into corners, is low enough to get under furniture and baseboards and feels like you are pushing nothing. The machine itself is very lightweight and is a canister. It, like all other Miele products, is made to last 20 to 25 years. It has a 7 year motor warranty! I got this vacuum from Mr. Vac and Mrs. Sew for only $699 (Phone Special You have to Call to Get that Price) ($799 everywhere on the internet) and that handled everything professionally. The man on the phone was nice and it came with free fast shipping and no tax because I am out of state (They are in NY). I am estatic over my purchase and will definately buy from them again. Although if you really wanted a Dyson, my friend got a slim DC-18 from 1stchoicevacandsew.com for only 397.99. she swears by it but I still think the Miele is better
