The Hoover 30010COM - The Review
This particular vacuum cleaner is a lightweight model that weighs under 12 pounds. It includes the patented Wind Tunnel Technology which is able to suck debris faster and much better than other models.
Not only is the bag on the Hoover 30010COM generous in size, but it also utilizes the HEPA media in order to ensure that practically 100% of allergens are prevented from re-entering the air. That's right; the HEPA filtration bag will capture dander, pollen and dust mites as small as 0.3 microns.
As can be expected of Hoover, the 30010COM vacuum cleaner has numerous features in order to make your job that much easier. For example, the power button is conveniently situated right there on the handle. Also, rather than keep you guessing as to whether or not the bag needs changing, there's an indicator light which alerts you when the bag is full.
There is a tool bracket that lets you have the tools on-board so that they are accessible at all times. The following tools come with this machine: floor brush, crevice tool and a dusting brush. This Hoover vacuum cleaner comes equipped with a telescoping extension wand. The upright even has a headlight so that you will be able to see any debris and dirt that is located along the baseboards and under furniture.
The canister portion of this lightweight machine comes with a carrying strap which increases its mobility. It is able to be toted up and down the stairs, and if there happens to be tight quarters, the Hoover Platinum should be your choice. At the top of the canister is an area that has a handle which makes it very easy to pick up and carry while the vacuum is still in operation. You will see that the canister has impressive suction. The hose is a bit short at less than 5 feet. The canister vacuum is also somewhat loud.
Unbelievably enough, the Hoover Platinum has a price tag of less than $400. Of course, this is undeniably great value considering you're getting two vacuum cleaners for the price of one. While there are a few minor issues with the Hoover Platinum Lightweight, most of them pose no real problem. For example, the Hoover Platinum cleaner does not have brush roller shut off capability. Additionally, because of its light weight, it feels light and flimsy.
In my opinion the Hoover Platinum Lightweight is worth every penny. If offers you a level of mobility not seen in any other vacuum clean, it's lightweight, and best of all is, you actually get two machines for the price of one.
